For the last two days Gabrielle and I have been mowing, dethatching, overseeding, weeding, cultivating, sowing, seeding, fertilizing, mulching and every other gardening thing you can think of and we still aren’t done yet. Sigh. It has been a lot of work, but worth it to have the yard nice and hopefully we will have it shaped up nice enough to have friends over again for a BBQ. That is, as long as, everyone ignores the general state of disaster of the inside of our home. Let us just say that home remodeling is taking forever to get done, but now that I’m out of school there is a noticeable uptrend in things being worked on.
At least I’m learning a lot. I now know to not buy soil and mulch in bags from the store when you have a garden the size of ours 40 bags of soil and 40 bags of mulch is much more expensive than if I had just had bulk soil and mulch delivered and done the wheelbarrow and shovel method…ah well next time.
And, boy, are my arms tired.
